gladiators should just die already, they were good, they had there spotlight, now its time for something else

Someone translated the Kanji effect on a forum I was on, it said something like 'When special summoned by a Gladiator Beast's effect you can rename this card to a different Gladiator Beast monster in the grave.' Still unconfirmed though.

well as i said, glads had there day, now they need to be laid to rest

i swear to god, if they get that card and it becomes bestiari, they better bring DaD back to two to combat that because gyzarus dominating the format sucked when they released LODT, if they do it again i'ma ragequit XD

If Lanista's effect is really that you can make 2 Gyzarus in one turn.

Best combo ever:
1. Cold Wave
2. Make a Gyzarus however you want.
3. Bomb
4. Attack
5. Special Lanista and any other GB
6. Make Gyzarus and bomb again

DaD at 2 would be god-like

broke GB is broke.

this is the thing that GB's need.

will promote for Gyzarus to be banned.

i think is epic and will absolutely b MEGA NERFED!!!!! and GB's need a glad that discards and that will b limiter or banned or searchable by a gay GB only

they won't nerf it, cause it's not broken.

Gyzarus will cop the hit...

well i honestly hope to god they kill gyzarus for this, glads were more balanced without him

heres what happened..... GLAS was released, glads were made, herk was amazing, everyone saw the potential for the deck to be great, they had monster killing effects with murmillo, spell/trap removing with bestiari (at three), lequari for the beat down, secutor to fuel getting out herk, they were amazing at that, then they release PTDN, they gave them their own "reinforcements of the army" to search out and making them better, they also gave them darius to re-use there lost gladiators, this made them alot better, even at this they were fine.

then they release gyzarus....the minute this happened they became teir 1 straight away and were un-defeated until tele-dad came along

it was tele-dad making stardust that really stuff'd up glads, then that romp'd the meta for like.... a year, then glads took over again

and thats the reason i quit yugioh for a year or so ha ha ha

then again, regardless of that fact.gyzarus has been broken for years and hasn't been touched yet

so, in light of that, i doubt he'll get hit

the new effect, still unconfirmed, is terrible, so gbs really don't change much...

well, i know alot of players that also quit because of teledad and glads

i say out with the old, in with the new, keep the game fresh

like bring back Tele-DaD because i have all the cards for it

but if Glads die, then Team Sword Beast dies...

so we kinda want Glads to hang around.

should'nt make a team dedicated to one type...

i hate them coz i played them, the most mind-numbing boring deck to use, no doubt its good and incredibly consistant, but i just hate them now

yeah i'll admit there a bit boring. Least they require some thought.

not like LS...... where it's pretty much an auto-pilot deck.

One of the most respected "Teams" in the U.S. that play at all the National and S.J.C. events is a team called Team D.K.F.

The leader of the Team (dubkdad1) is an AMAZING player, and someone who i get a lot of my deck inspiration from....
At the moment he is running "Dandy Warrior" (and doing extremely well with it), while the other members run decks like....

Machina Gadgets
Lightsworn
Blackwings

And one member runs a "Stardust Assult Mode" deck, that seems almost unstopable

So i do have to disagree with you Nick....
I think a team is just a group of very talented players who know there individual decks as well as they know there fellow team members decks, and that then gives each player a better understanding of different deck types and also player strategies

i know where your coming from, but our team is based on Glads themselves.

Sword Beast is the OCG name given to Gladiator Beasts....

so naturally, you need to play the deck.

but most likely, come this nats, we'll probably be playing very different decks.

The effect never got nerfed, it was just a false translation. The effect you mentioned is the correct one.

I think I should correct this statement, because it's not quite accurate. The literal translation of the OCG name is actually 'Gladial Beast'; now, the word 'Gladial' is a latin name given to a small, dagger-like sword typically associated with Roman slaves (which were used as Gladiators), and it's from this name that the English term 'Gladiator' comes.

So, while the above statement is technically true, it's not accurate.

Anyway, the card is terrible, not that it will actually be released into the TCG any time soon.
